The Heart of Jesus

Through Our Heavenly Father, thousands of children have been blessed with needed clothing using Churches, Missionaries, Mission Trips, Ministries, Outreaches, Global Missions, and many more in NY and in Virginia. The gospel is taken with every trip, so not only are the children clothed, but parents, families, villages, provinces, regions, and countries will be impacted by the message of salvation.

Hampton Group Pastors

God used Steve and Lisa to help us get D4M to become a part of the Groups Ministry at the Hampton campus. Thank you for answering the endless questions, being quick to answer our emails, making sure D4M has a room to meet in, supplying us with ice and paper products when needed, and even popping in our classes to say hello, complimenting and encouraging us to keep going.

Harbor View Group Pastor

Pastor Corbett who listened intently when we came to ask him about starting a D4M group at the Harbour View Campus. God put it in his heart to say yes and we couldn’t thank him enough. He made all the inquiries and arrangements for us to have a room to meet in and even a closet to store D4M items in so we wouldn’t have to carry them back and forth. Thank you also to Stacey who makes sure the doors are open and welcomes us in with a smile of encouragement.

Thanking Cindy, Marie, Peggi, Catherine, Ms. Lilly, Gale, Patricia, Iris, Karen, Shelly, Christina, Audrey, Diana, Lisa, Stephany, Mary, Lilly, Audry and all others not mentioned for their kindness and generosity. Not only donating sewing machines and sergers, but the exact items we need to put together a dress and or a pair of shorts. We so appreciate that you listened to the voice of the Lord and heard the need to help children all over the world. From loads of fabric, elastic, sewing machine thread, serger thread, irons, ironing boards, sheets, ribbons, lace, button, hair bows and even plastic bags to providing storage(Christy) for all the donations. God has provided everything we have needed to keep D4M’s going. His continued blessings never cease and never cease to amaze us.

Our Sewers - All the ladies who are so faithful in coming to our D4M classes toting or rolling their machines, walking in with smiling faces, having a God given talent to be able to sew and a willingness to serve Him by making dresses for girls. Heartwarming are the prayers they lift up to God for each girl who will get and wear the dress they are working on. The little hearts they sew onto each dress tells the girl that it was “MADE WITH LOVE”.

We are so thankful for her sacrificial time on the mission field and returning with a passion to help those in need. We are very grateful for the 359 dresses she sent with Susan and Wade in October 2024, from NY to Virginia. 245 dresses have made their way to 6 countries so far. 65 of her dresses were given out at the Christmas Liberty Toy Drive in December of 2024. We still have 114 to send out.

The Feet of Jesus

God uses many people to accomplish his plan and will for our lives, the lives of others who we come in contact with, people we don’t know or one’s we’ve just met. All His children have a place in this world whether it’s living from day to day, working a job, volunteering our time and effort, or doing the things that we think don’t count. Many answer the call to be the Feet of Jesus by arranging for or taking much needed items locally and all over the world.

The volunteers sacrifice their time and energy and even some monetarily to take our dresses and shorts locally and globally is something we can never thank them enough for: Lee and Jan, Laray, Paul and Ruth, Matt and Susan, Raymond, Ellis and Eileen, Julie, Frank and Beverly, Wanda, Bruce and Lynn, Jonathan, Wade and Susan, Amy, and Mitch and Dee. Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts.

The churches, the mission’s ministries, organizations and outreaches who organize and sponsor trips are invaluable to the D4M ministry. Liberty Live Church, Mount Zion Church of Maryland, Venture Church, Sister Cities, Word of Life Ministries, Vietnamese Outreach International are all instrumental and invaluable to the ministry of D4M.

In Loving Memory…

Barbara was a 20+ year member at Liberty, and had recently begun contributing her talent for sewing to Dresses 4 Missions.

Harbor View was honored to have her in our group for 6 short months. Her sewing skills and witty personality endeared her to all of us.

She is greatly missed.
